Recently I had the honor and privilege of interviewing Rev. Richard P. Schoeller of the Summerland Church of Light located in Hauppauge, NY.

This is the first of many interviews to come for the Seeds Of Faith. You will of course hear that I had a great time speaking with Rev. Schoeller. I found myself connecting closer to spirit after our conversation.

Reverend Schoeller has a way of passing his energy to you even over the phone. In the days that past our conversation I dreamt more, heard more, and spoke more about the unseen. Messages from the days before our interview were finally understood.

Richard Schoeller is without a doubt, a channeling machine. Not to mention he is intellectually entertaining. If you are a student and are interested in advancing yourself, take notes.

During a message circle with my sister and niece yesterday I found myself in a delivering state. A state of mind so deep that I could not stop even if I wanted too. It was the kind of trance that usually takes time to get into. This is what happens every time I am near a medium with energy to spare.

I wanted to write an article which was to be titled "Live your life with courage" However, it could not be written. Why? Blame it on Rev. Schoeller, his energy sent me in a totally different direction. And as of this moment I have yet to write something for the Seeds Of Faith section. But after I'm done here, I will.

My mother once told me to be kind to others and they will be kind to you.

Kindness is in the heart of us all and I believe that to be true. However, there are some forces in life that don't want peace among us.

I found that to be true in a session the other day. If I did not have the help of another to ward off these forces of darkness, I would have been in danger.

Why is it that people want to hurt one another? Why is it that jealousy can cause anger amongst friends and relatives and end life long relationships? Why?

This week I witnessed a lot of both. People who were kind were rewarded and those who were not, well you know what happens. It takes a whole lot of power inside to be mean to someone and yet, it takes very little energy to be nice to many.

What do you think would happen if you took that energy and used it for something else other than shedding blame, fault or anger toward someone? What do you think it could do for you and others around you? Do you think it could heal pain and sadness? Could it add joy to someone's life? Would you be willing to find out?

Share your good energy with someone who needs it and see how you will be rewarded over time. Yes, you can't do it once and expect to get paid for it, you have to do it over, and over again for the blessing to return to you ten fold.

I share everyday, with everyone I meet and I give away whatever I don't need. I have been told that I sometimes I give away too much. It's not a monetary thing either. It's love, peace and blessings that people need so they can fight off the forces of evil that surround us each and everyday.

Take a moment and share with someone what we all have a abundance of.... love. It really doesn't cost a thing.

You can be and have anything you want as long as you have faith in the power of the light around you.

"The Domino Affect"

Recently I had the opportunity of listening to a speech by a well-known philosopher. His thoughts had a profound affect on me. So much that I chose to share a little about it in this issue.

Life, and how people live it makes a world of difference to us all. We have what he called: "The human domino affect syndrome". Your daily actions just don't affect you, it affects others around you as well. Let's say you wake up one morning on the wrong side of the bed. You will undoubtedly pass on your mood to the first person you see and that's when the domino affect is set into motion. How many lives do you think will be impacted by your behavior? 1, 10, 20? Try several hundred according to this speaker.

Here is what was so interesting. In multiplications you would have affected the attitude and lives of several hundreds people in just one day. Imagine waking up like that a few times a week or a month. Well, this is what goes on in our daily lives and this is why when you drive down the street and look at the driver next to you they snicker at you because somewhere, in some town around the world, somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning.

I don't know about you but I like being happy all day. I like waking up and saying hello and good morning to as many people as I possibly can because I know that I will indirectly affect the attitudes of several hundred people throughout that day. Who knows, maybe I'll bump into that grumpy person, say hello and good morning and change their attitude for the rest of the day. It would be nice to reduce those several hundred people to just a few.

The reason this happens is that there is no balance in our lives. We work too much, sleep to little and don't eat right. We have families that depend on us for countless of things each and every day. I have found that even though our lives are so cluttered we still have the ability to wake up to a beautiful day.

You may find this hard to believe but the solution to this problem is very simple. It's called Meditation. I practice this everyday from as little as 3 minutes to 45 minutes depending on the day but I do it everyday. Most people tell me they don't know how to meditate. Believe me, it's not that hard to learn. Meditation is a form of self hypnotism whereas you're in a place of peace but still conscious enough to know what's going on around you. It is inches away from that wonderful thing we call sleep.

In your meditation you learn to not just relax your body, you'll learn how to relax your mind as well. If you're not meditating, you probably wake up at least once a month (or more) on that side of the bed. It's like I said, it takes as little as 3 minutes a day to start. But you have to do it every day. Within a few weeks you'll be glad you did.

Now I will share with you 3 points from his speech that I found to be useful for us all.

#1 Be Thankful

Be thankful for what you have. God has given us the pleasure of being on this earth. Be thankful for that.

Be thankful that our creator has given us the ability to meditate with our spirit guides and others. Be thankful.

Be thankful that you have family, friends, a place to worship, a job to go too, water to drink, food to eat and air to breathe. Be thankful.

#2 Listen well

Listen well because someday you will need to remember the wisdom gained from someone other than yourself. So listen well.

Listen well because knowledge is power, power to improve yourself, power to help others in need and power to make a difference. So listen well.

Listen with an open mind, for spirit speaks to those who listen. So listen well.

#3 Take Advice, not orders

Don’t be a follower, be a student. Learn as much as you can and use it well.

You may not be able to use all you have learned, but make sure you learn all you can do.

Make sure what you do is of your own free will and not from the orders of others.

Every so often a cycle comes upon us in our lives whereas the ones we love cross over without warning. In the past month we have said good-by to more than one of our friends. We will miss their presence and await the time when they will be the ones who have a message to give to us.

Sorrow is a human reaction that none of us can avoid. We all try to make the best of everything and relish the memories of the times we shared with them. In my culture we dance, sing and pray at the passing of a loved one. Early in my life I never really understood why. Now, as an adult and with the power and wisdom I have within me, I understand.

You must understand that it will take years for you to develop your abilities to it's full potential. However, as I have said before, do not lead yourself to believe that you are the message. We are only messengers for spirit.

For all of you who still don't understand what being a spiritualist means; It means that as a spiritualist we see more than meets the eyes. Feel more than can be touched. It is more than just being a Medium, Psychic, Clairvoyant or Healer. It's about seeing and feeling the world around us. The trees, the air, the birds and fish in the water which sustains our lives.

Part of being a spiritualist and I believe this to be the #1 thing, is being kind, humble and compassionate to one another. And understanding that life is not to be taken for granted but cherished each and every day.

There are many more attributes that define spiritualist and spiritualism. We will cover these one at a time each and every month.

In closing I will say this;

I love the days when I wake and see the ones I love around me.

I will not cry for those that past because I know they'll guide me.

For this day I'll give my thanks to God for gifting me with life.

And before I sleep I'll say my prayers for all those who crossed before me.

Is there a "Happy Medium?

Recently I was reading an article about the many differences in religions around the world and I was amazed at how many people still do not recognize spiritualism as a true religion or, even better yet, bash spiritualism because of ignorance.

People (the ignorant ones) have nothing better to do with their time but to bad mouth anything that they don't understand. But if you ask many of them if they believe in God, guess what? 90% will say sure they do. Then ask them what was Jesus' role when he walked the earth and they'll tell you he was the savior of the people. What they won't tell you because they don't want to believe it, is that he was indeed a spiritualist who at the time had the vision that many of us have today. The difference is he was the master of it. And who is he now?

Let's take this a step further and look at it from another angle. Some nut job wrote about how his religion is superior to all others and that nothing but his beliefs should be heard. (sounds like another Jim Jones if you ask me) he ramped and raved about how we all will perish if we don't join in and convert to save ourselves. I hate it when people use damnation to try to convince us that what we're doing is wrong. How do they know what good for me or you? Take me for instance. I grew up as a Catholic and not a very good one at it. Between Sunday mass, Sunday school and my short encounter at Catholic school I still turned out to be me. I never believed in the rules that they have but that's me, not you. So what did I do? I went looking! I didn't know what I was looking for but I looked.

I spent days and hours online searching and researching the different belief systems for the one that would fit me. My favorite was when I stumbled onto "Non Denominational Churches" Wow! what a crowd! I had a great time with all my Christian buddies However, I knew deep inside I was not complete. I was still missing something.

Today I am a true believer that if you seek and you shall find. If you are not sure where you belong, ask for guidance in your meditation. In the title of this site it reads: "Look no further then where you are to find yourself" Spend some time inside yourself. You will be amazed at what you will find.

Anyway, my point is this, when and where do we come to the point of a happy medium with all the religions in the world where everyone respects one another for who they are and what they believe in.

Why is it that you can't be a Christian or Catholic and believe in spiritualism at the same time? or believe in Judaism and spiritualism? This is the "Happy Medium" I am talking about. If we can get along in mixed marriages and married gay couples why can't we get along in our mixed beliefs?

I know that the emails will start to pour in on this one and I encourage it. If someone has an answer to this dilemma I have please share it with my readers and help make this world we live in a better place for us all.

I am constantly amazed at the people who seem to cross my path each and everyday. Recently I meet a wonderful woman who had spent a lifetime with with her partner. For many years they shared love, joy, anguish and children. However, as it is known to us all that someday we too shall cross over. Her husband had past many years ago and to this day she still misses him. According to her "It as if it were yesterday that they had their first dance.

When I first walked into her home the greetings of sorrow came upon me. And as many times before I had to keep my composure. The feeling that came upon me was not of the spirits around her, it was her. Without telling who I was and what I do as a spiritualist this woman began to shed her outer shell with me.

As the hours passed I came to learn more about this person. I learned of another loss in her life. Her young daughter. early on i was told to give her a message but it was not her daughter who wanted me to deliver a message, it was her partner she had for many years. As much as I wanted to give her this message I could not. It was not the right time to do so.

During my visit she told me she had gone to a few psychics because she believes that her husband still toys with her and she wanted answers. I mildly told her that I too was a believer and that we attended the same churches at different times.

A few days later we met again and I delivered the message as it was to be told. She understood the message but questioned why. I told her, I am the messenger, not the message. She understood. The reason I could not pass it on at the time of our first meeting was that I was overwhelmed with the love that is in her house. Sometimes these feelings are so powerful that I cannot speak. Not to mention my visit to her home was for a totally different reason to begin with.

Here is person who grew up believing in Judaism and married a Catholic Italian. This goes to show that love has no boundries and faith has no fear. We all must have faith in ourselves to make it in life. I have faith that my wife and I will grow old together, I have faith that someday there will be peace in the world, I have faith that people will read and contribute to The Seeds Of Faith newsletter. I have faith. Do you?

Let's take a moments to remember a few things. Be kind to one another, share a smile, give a praise, say hello to a stranger, don't speak ill of someone, laugh, laugh, laugh, meditate, ask for guidance, have faith.

Over the past few years I have become a student of life. I have studied many people, people that I admire, people that have a positive message to give, messages of faith, hope, charity and wisdom.

Becoming a student of life is of course our greatest challenge, but what have we learned in the years before today? Have we learned that there is more to life then just us? Have we learned how to be compassionate, understanding and kind? Most importantly, have we learned to be humble?

What have you learned about yourself? What are your beliefs? Do you believe in you and do you believe in spirit? Building belief in either does not come over night. It took years for me to begin to understand, and still, I have much to learn. We are all blessed with the gift. The question is do we deny to ourselves that infinite intelligence shares this world with us? Do you, just as many of us still do, live on the edge of fact or fiction?

It is written and holds true that “what you focus on expands” We all need to change the way we think on a daily basis. When you change the way you think everything else will come to together. When you open your mind and remove the negative thoughts that hold you captive you will begin to understand the messages given to you from spirit. When I put this into my daily practice, I grew inside. You see, when you start to believe, you start to understand. If you are reading this today, you already believe. All you need now is to have faith. Not just for yourself but also in spirit. Free your mind of all negative thoughts, call on spirit, and spirit will come to you.

Sow a seed…

Seeds planted in the soil of the heart don’t grow over night. You need to nourish it with faith and sprinkle it with love. You need to dig deep into your roots and bring up the confidence. You need to stir up your faith if you want to grow spiritually, financially and personally. Sow the seed in someone and share your faith with them. Invite them to join you on the days you hold service. Inspire them to reach to new heights. When you do this, everyone benefits especially you. God and spirit will remember those who sow the seed, your harvest is not far behind.

Profess your faith…

Hold fast the profession of your faith (Hebrews) that means hold on to what God and spirit has put into your heart. Hold on to your beliefs and dreams. Don’t let anyone steel them from you. Stay determined, persistent and focused.
